Hammock Creek 8-25-25

As our first season winds down at Hammock Creek, our experiment there has proven to be successful. We now have about 12 players who are playing a fun course every week and all are enjoying the course and the Skills competition.  

This past week the three groups played the course in under four hours so that’s good as the daylight hours are getting shorter. We estimate we probably can play another four weeks before getting in 18-holes will prove difficult.  Management at the course says our $30 deal is good through October so if you want to keep on playing until then, go for it, but we’ll end the skills challenge on September 29.

Top winner in this week’s Skills Challenge was (drum roll please), Gary Miller! He amassed 16 points with greenies and closest to the pin on holes 8 and 12. Way to go Gary! Cory Trainer got 13 points with a birdie on 2 and a greenie and closest to the pin on 14. Jay Osborne also got 13 points with a greenie and closest to the pin on 6 and a chip-in birdie on 8. David Aldred took 11 points with greenies on 6 and 8 and a birdie on 15. Ryan Aldred birdied 2 and 4 for 10 points. Mike King got a birdie on 9 for 5 points and Forest Kramer scored a greenie on 14 for 3 points.

As Labor Day falls on Monday next week, and we expect participation to be light that day, David Aldred had his monthly payout Monday night. If you are owed money (see schedule below), contact David to arrange for your payout. You can call or text him at 561-389-5620.
